The new Midland Courthouse Project involved the conversion of an existing 25,600 sf Armoury Building originally constructed in the early 1950’s. Richard Ziegler Architect provided Full Architectural Services with the Ontario Realty Corporation acting as Project Manager. Architectural Services provided also include the co-ordination of CCTV / Security Systems, Sound Recording / Lift and Detention Equipment Contracts. The delivery of the Project was handled in two distinct phases: Base Building Renovations/ Additions, and Interior Leasehold Improvements. This Project included a large Detention Component (7 cells, 1 bullpen, and a Police Case Management Office) and involved working closely with the local Police Department. The Project was substantially completed July 21st, 2003.
